## Description

Precision metal cutting comes down to the consumable nozzle at the very end of the laser path, and this five-pack keeps a fresh one within arm's reach.

Nozzles are wear items. Spatter, heat and the occasional collision gradually distort the opening, and once gas flow stops being symmetrical, the cut edge starts showing dross and taper. [The MetalFab](https://core-electronics.com.au/laser-cutters/xtool/metalfab.html) CNC cutter ships with a single ordinary nozzle installed, so a damaged tip mid-job means downtime unless you keep spares on the shelf.

The ordinary nozzle is the one to reach for when surface finish matters. It cuts without touching the workpiece, unlike [the SaveGas telescopic nozzle](https://core-electronics.com.au/xtool-metalfab-savegas-cutting-nozzle-set.html), which contacts the sheet and can leave scratches that need polishing out afterwards. For thin stainless steel, brass, aluminium, galvanised sheet and carbon steel, it delivers the cleanest edge the machine is capable of.

Gas demands stay modest. Metals under 1 mm cut at just 0.6 MPa, well within reach of [the compressor and dryer](https://core-electronics.com.au/xtool-metalfab-air-compressor-and-dryer.html), and thicker stainless steel, brass and aluminium simply need the pressure lifted rather than a different nozzle fitted.
