## Description

Rust, mill scale and flaking paint don't have to mean the metal is scrap. A laser cleaning head lifts contamination off a metal surface without abrasives, chemicals or media blasting, all very labour-intensive - so an old gate, a rusted chassis or a weld seam can be brought back to bare metal for welding, painting or general finishing .

The MaxClean accessory clears a 45 mm wide swathe in a single pass. Most handheld cleaning heads work to around 15 mm, so a job that would take three passes takes one.

Safety is built into the mechanism rather than bolted on. The head is contact-triggered: it will only fire while it is physically touching the workpiece, so there is no beam emitted across an air gap. It fits the xTool MetalFab laser welder, sharing the machine's existing source and controller — no second machine, no separate footprint on the bench.
