## Description

Turn ordinary workshop air into a clean, dry assist gas for laser metal cutting. This two-piece system pairs a 20L, 2200W air compressor with a refrigerated air dryer, so the xTool MetalFab CNC Cutter gets a steady supply of compressed air without a single external gas cylinder.

Nitrogen and Argon cylinders drain quickly during continuous CNC cutting, and every refill or swap costs money and potential downtime. Compressed air costs only electricity, but raw air straight from a compressor carries moisture, oil and dust that fog the lens protector and spoil the cut. The dryer deals with this: it chills the air to a 2-10°C dew point and runs it through three filter stages before it reaches the cutting head.

With the SaveGas™ nozzle supplied with the MetalFab CNC Cutter, the system cuts 4mm stainless steel, 4mm aluminium and 3mm brass burr-free at just 0.6 MPa. The two units are designed to work as a pair.

Setup is simple: connect the compressor to the dryer to the MetalFab with the supplied 10mm tubing, run the drain tube to a waste area, switch on the dryer first, then set the compressor to 1.0 MPa in FAST mode.

### Features

- Cut thicker metal at lower pressure. Paired with the SaveGas™ nozzle, 0.6 MPa of filtered air gives results xTool rates as comparable to 1.2 MPa nitrogen with certain configurations
- No cylinder refills, rentals or swap-outs mid-job. The system runs on ambient air and mains power
- Protects the laser optics. HyperPure™ three-stage filtration removes 99.999% of oil and dust (down to 0.01 ppm) and 99% of moisture
- Keeps up with continuous cutting. The compressor recovers from 0 to 1.0 MPa in 45 seconds and restarts automatically when pressure drops 0.2 MPa below the set point
- Adjustable output from 0.3 to 1.0 MPa in 0.05 MPa steps, with FAST and SILENCE speed modes for quieter running when full flow isn't needed
- Compact enough to sit beside the machine or under a workbench. The compressor is 460 × 530 × 270mm and 16kg, far smaller than an industrial compressor
- Genuine xTool hardware with 10mm push-to-connect fittings that match the MetalFab air inlet, with no adapters needed
