## Description

Need something to sense distance, but you're expecting things to get a bit wet? Well look no further! This sensor can stretch all the way out to 4.5m in ideal conditions, with a resolution of 0.5cm. You see sensors like these often on systems like car reversing sensors, security alarms, and industrial processes. We have found that the output of this sensor can be a little noisy. To sacrifice accuracy and speed for cleanliness of output, the example code below features a simple smoothing function that will tame the output somewhat if desired. Note also that when designing or 3D printing around this sensor, the cable leaving the rear of the sensor itself is not concentric, with the surrounding housing.
