## Description

A 7-inch, 1024 × 600 IPS touchscreen with an ESP32-S3 built right in - everything you need for a responsive, polished human-machine interface without wiring a separate display to a microcontroller.

At its heart is an ESP32-S3 module: a dual-core Xtensa LX7 running at up to 240 MHz with 16 MB Flash and 8 MB PSRAM, giving LVGL the memory it needs to drive the higher-resolution panel smoothly. Touch input comes from a 5-point capacitive panel behind tempered glass.

Type B is the upgraded version of Waveshare's 7inch ESP32-S3 board, stepping up from 800 × 480 and adding software backlight control and battery-voltage monitoring. Industrial-style bus connections, a TF/SD card slot and a lithium battery connector mean it can serve as a wall-mounted control panel, machine dashboard or portable data logger.

Getting started is quick: connect over USB-C, then program it in the Arduino IDE or ESP-IDF using Waveshare's LVGL demos and example code.

### Features

- Readable from across the bench, thanks to an IPS panel with a 170° viewing angle and 235 cd/m² brightness
- Responsive 5-point capacitive touch with interrupt support, so your GUI reacts instantly without polling
- Plenty of headroom for rich interfaces, fonts and image buffers with large onboard Flash and PSRAM
- Wireless out of the box with 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi and Bluetooth 5 (LE) via the on-module antenna
- Talk directly to industrial and automotive gear over onboard CAN and RS485, each with selectable termination resistors
- Run untethered from a 3.7 V lithium cell, with onboard charge management, charge/done indicator LEDs and real-time battery-voltage readings
- Adjustable backlight brightness to save power or suit dim environments
- Dual USB-C ports: native USB for power and flashing, plus a separate USB-to-UART port for debugging
- Log data or load images and assets from the TF card slot
- Ready to wire up, with HY2.0-to-Dupont cables included for the onboard headers
