## Description

- NOTE: For Windows 7, please use RC build 7100 or above.
- **Windows 8 and 10 are not officially supported by Prolific** However, we've gotten it working on Win 10 using an older driver version. See below.
 
**Driver Installation / Setup**

- Windows 8, 8.1, and 10
    
    
    1. Download the Driver Software from the Downloads section below, and install the driver using *PL2303\_Prolific\_DriverInstaller\_v110.exe* (in the win7 folder).
    2. Insert the USB Serial adapter.
     
    If you did not install the Win 7 driver before inserting it in a USB port on your Win 10 machine, you can get it working by performing the following steps:

1. Insert the USB serial converter in your machine
2. Open your Device Manager, and uninstall the driver installed by windows (select to delete the installation files).
3. Install the driver linked in the product description.
4. Remove and reinsert the USB-&gt;Serial converter
 
If you have done this correctly, you should have Prolific Driver version 3.3.10.140 from 19/11/2009 installed, and a functioning COM Port.
