## Description

Our uGateway DIY Kit, once assembled, is a full 8-Channel LoRaWAN Gateway. It's low cost, built with popular maker hardware.

The build takes about half an hour. Once done, uGateway will service several hundred meters with an indoor setup (included in the kit). The range will go into the KMs when paired with an external Antenna (sold separately).

Here in Newcastle, we use and prefer the LoRaWAN AS923 band plan (instead of AU915). That's because it's simpler to setup remote devices and there is more support for off the shelf products. You can change it to AU915 if you like; we'll put together a guide to help.

**What is in the box:**

- uGateway enclosure and parts
- Raspberry Pi Zero W
- Blank uSD Card (see the guide for instructions)
- 5.1V 2.5Amp Power Supply
- Antenna

The following parts are not included and are only needed for setup (most makers have this stuff already):

- [Mini HDMI to Standard HDMI Adaptor](https://core-electronics.com.au/mini-hdmi-to-standard-hdmi-jack-adapter-for-raspberry-pi-zero.html)
- [USB OTG Cable](https://core-electronics.com.au/micro-usb-otg-host-cable-for-raspberry-pi-zero.html)
- A HDMI compatible screen (your PC monitor would likely be fine)
- A USB keyboard and mouse

Once the WiFI password has been configured, **the above accessories are not needed**. Upon powerup, the uGateway will automatically connect and start doing what it does.
