## How to buy

- **Build a cart:** compose `https://core-electronics.com.au/cart/link?items=POLOLU-1475:1` (comma-separated SKU:qty pairs) and share the link. Opening it shows a confirmation page with live pricing and stock before anything is added to the cart.
- **Verify the cart first:** fetch `https://core-electronics.com.au/cart/link/POLOLU-1475:1.md` for live line prices (inc & exc GST, quantity discounts applied), stock and dispatch estimates, and totals. Append `/to/{AU-postcode}` (or `/to/{country-code}:{postcode}`) before `.md` for delivery options and prices to that destination. Unknown, retired, or out-of-stock SKUs are flagged. (Query form `cart/link.md?items=...` also works but some robots parsers refuse query strings here.)
- **Checkout** is completed on-site and includes a captcha at the payment step. Share the cart link; checkout takes it from there.
- **Search the catalogue:** `https://core-electronics.com.au/search/{query}.md` (URL-encode the query; pages 2-3 at `search/{query}/{page}.md`; `search.md?q=` also works)

This high-torque hybrid stepping motor has a 1.8° step angle (200 steps/revolution). Each phase draws 2 A at 4.5 V, allowing for a holding torque of 14 kg-cm (190 oz-in). The motor has six color-coded wires terminated with bare leads that allow it to be controlled by both unipolar and bipolar stepper motor drivers. When used with a unipolar stepper motor driver, all six leads are used. When used with a bipolar stepper motor driver, the center-tap yellow and white wires can be left disconnected (the red-blue pair gives access to one coil and the black-green pair gives access to the other coil). Pololu recommend using it as a bipolar stepper motor and controlling it with an appropriately powerful [bipolar stepper motor driver](https://core-electronics.com.au/breakout-boards-and-modules/motor-drivers-controllers/stepper-motor-drivers.html), such as Pololu's [High-Power Stepper Motor Driver 36v4](https://core-electronics.com.au/pololu-high-power-stepper-motor-driver-36v4.html), or Pololu's [Tic 36v4 High-Power Stepper Motor Controller](https://core-electronics.com.au/pololu-tic-36v4-usb-multi-interface-high-power-stepper-motor-controller.html). In particular, the Tic makes control easy because it supports six different interfaces (USB, TTL serial, I²C, RC, analog voltages, and quadrature encoder) and is configurable over USB with Pololu's free configuration utility.

**Stepper Motor Applications**

Stepper motors are generally used in a variety of applications where precise position control is desirable and the cost or complexity of a feedback control system is unwarranted. Here are a few applications where stepper motors are often found:

- Printers
- CNC machines
- 3D printer/prototyping machines (e.g. RepRap)
- Laser cutters
- Pick and place machines
- Linear actuators
- Hard drives
