## Description

The MyoWare® 2 Muscle Sensor Wireless Kit is an Arduino-compatible, all-in-one electromyography (EMG) sensor kit that provides everything you need from the MyoWare 2 ecosystem to test out wireless configurations for your application. The [MyoWare® 2 Wireless Shield](https://core-electronics.com.au/search/?q=23387) is designed to receive readings from the [MyoWare 2 Muscle Sensor](https://core-electronics.com.au/search/?q=18977) and wirelessly transmit sensor data with the included [ESP32-WROOM](https://core-electronics.com.au/search/?q=17830). This shield also includes a built-in LiPo battery to power the muscle sensor and the ESP32 module remotely. The Wireless Shield is equipped with snap connectors and low-profile pogo pins on the board, allowing you to easily stack it on top of the MyoWare 2 Muscle Sensor. Simply select a Power Source and flip the power switch to the ON position to give the sensor all the power it needs to work its myoelectric magic.

The kit also includes 20 biomedical sensor pads, a mini screwdriver for easy removal of shields, a USB A to C cable for recharging the wireless shield or connecting your microcontroller to a computer, a sensor cable for connecting to muscle groups away from the sensor, and a Myoware cable shield.

The MyoWare 2 Muscle Sensor included in this kit has been redesigned from the ground up with a new, easy-to-use, compact design and upgraded with the latest and greatest chipset, improving sensor performance and reliability. The sensor measures muscle activity through the electric potential of the muscle, commonly referred to as surface electromyography (EMG or sEMG for short). When your brain tells your muscle to flex, it sends an electrical signal to your muscle to start recruiting motor units (the bundles of muscle fibers that generate the force behind your muscles).

The harder you flex, the more motor units are recruited to generate greater muscle force. The greater the number of motor units, the more the electrical activity of your muscle increases. The MyoWare 2 Muscle Sensor analyzes a muscle's filtered and rectified electrical activity, outputting a signal (0-VIN volts, where VIN represents the voltage of the power source) that indicates the degree of muscle flexion. The innovative connector system eliminates the need to solder connections for the MyoWare 2 ecosystem, whether visualizing the muscles in action with the MyoWare 2 LED Shield or reading the analog output with an Arduino-compatible development board.
