## Description

The MicroMod STM32WB5MMG Processor expands on SparkFun's MicroMod ST product line with a powerful combination of computing and wireless capabilities on one M.2-connectable processor. The STM32WB5MMG from STMicroelectronics™ is an ultra-low power microcontroller that combines a pair of Arm® Cortex® processors; a Cortex-M4 processor with FPU and ART for primary computing and a Cortex-M0 to run the 2.4 GHz RF stack. The module's radio is Bluetooth® Low Energy 5.3, Zigbee® 3.0, and OpenThread certified.

The Cortex-M4 CPU on this Processor can operate at a frequency of up to 64 MHz and features a floating point unit (FPU) single precision, which supports all ARM single-precision data-processing instructions and data types. It also implements a full set of DSP instructions and a memory protection unit (MPU) which enhances application security. The module uses an integrated chip antenna for the RF stack with Tx output power up to +6 dBm and Rx sensitivity of -96 dBm for BLE and -100 dBm for 802.15.4 protocols. The processor includes an additional 128Mb (16MB) serial flash memory chip on the underside of the board.

*[MicroMod](https://www.sparkfun.com/micromod) is a modular interface ecosystem that connects a microcontroller “processor board” to various “carrier board” peripherals. Utilizing the M.2 standard, the MicroMod standard is designed to easily swap out processors on the fly. Pair a specialized carrier board for the project you need with your choice of compatible processor!*
