 The GMPW wheel is made to match the Solarbotics [GM2](https://core-electronics.com.au/solarbotics-gm2-224-1-gear-motor-offset-output.html), [GM3](https://core-electronics.com.au/solarbotics-gm3-224-1-gear-motor-90-deg-output.html), [GM8](https://core-electronics.com.au/solarbotics-gm8-143-1-gear-motor-offset-output.html), and [GM9](https://core-electronics.com.au/solarbotics-gm9-143-1-gear-motor-90-deg-output.html) gearmotors, and it also match the [Pololu plastic gearmotors](https://core-electronics.com.au/#). This plastic wheel is molded from ABS and has a molded-on thermoplastic silicone tire with great traction and wear characteristics. There is a 64-stripe encoder pattern on one side of the wheel compatible with the Wheel Watcher. The plastic wheel measures just under 2-5/8" (69 mm) across by 0.3" (7.62 mm) wide and is available in [blue](https://core-electronics.com.au/solarbotics-gmpw-lb-blue-wheel-with-encoder-stripes-silicone-tire.html), [yellow](https://core-electronics.com.au/solarbotics-gmpw-y-yellow-wheel-with-encoder-stripes-silicone-tire.html), [red](https://core-electronics.com.au/solarbotics-gmpw-r-red-wheel-with-encoder-stripes-silicone-tire.html), and [black](https://core-electronics.com.au/solarbotics-gmpw-b-black-wheel-with-encoder-stripes-silicone-tire.html). 

(For mini-sumo robots, you can also try using the [high-traction sticky tire](https://core-electronics.com.au/high-traction-sticky-tire-one-tire.html), which is **NOT** made to fit this plastic robot wheel, but happens to work pretty well with it.)
