## Pricing

- **Price:** $3.15 (inc GST) — $2.86 AUD, exc GST

## Availability & dispatch

- Available with a lead time — expect dispatch between Sep 01 and Oct 12.

## How to buy

- **Build a cart:** compose `https://core-electronics.com.au/cart/link?items=CE10583:1` (comma-separated SKU:qty pairs) and share the link. Opening it shows a confirmation page with live pricing and stock before anything is added to the cart.
- **Verify the cart first:** fetch `https://core-electronics.com.au/cart/link/CE10583:1.md` for live line prices (inc & exc GST, quantity discounts applied), stock and dispatch estimates, and totals. Append `/to/{AU-postcode}` (or `/to/{country-code}:{postcode}`) before `.md` for delivery options and prices to that destination. Unknown, retired, or out-of-stock SKUs are flagged. (Query form `cart/link.md?items=...` also works but some robots parsers refuse query strings here.)
- **Checkout** is completed on-site and includes a captcha at the payment step. Share the cart link; checkout takes it from there.
- **Search the catalogue:** `https://core-electronics.com.au/search/{query}.md` (URL-encode the query; pages 2-3 at `search/{query}/{page}.md`; `search.md?q=` also works)

## Description

A blank PCB board for making your own custom circuit boards in your very own workshop, lab or classroom. It provides a reliable medium for engineers and makers to translate digital PCB designs into physical prototypes using desktop milling, chemical etching or laser ablating.

When you want to prototype a circuit without waiting for an external fab house (usually overseas), or when a breadboard or protoboard is too temporary or messy for the job. Makers, students and engineers can use it to produce simple custom PCBs for testing layouts, breakout boards, control circuits and educational electronics projects.

Since a CNC is being used to make the PCB, design the whole product to be made on the one machine! Add an enclosure with the same tooling.

The FR-4 substrate provides a rigid, standard PCB-style base for practical prototypes, while the single-sided copper format keeps fabrication straightforward for CNC isolation milling and simpler circuit designs. This is raw PCB material, so it will need suitable design files, tooling and fabrication equipment before components can be soldered to it.

### Key Features

- **Make PCBs in-house:** Make a custom PCB without sending every revision to a fabrication service, saving weeks during prototyping.
- **Cleaner than hand-wired prototyping:** A milled PCB can give your project defined traces and a more repeatable layout than point-to-point wiring on perfboard or protoboard.
- **Simpler fabrication for basic circuits:** The single-sided copper format is well suited to straightforward PCB layouts, educational exercises and quick prototype boards.
- **Rigid PCB-style substrate:** FR-4 fibreglass provides a durable base material commonly used for rigid printed circuit boards.
- **Suitable for CNC PCB fabrication:** Designed for users making boards with appropriate milling, drilling and profiling tools. Solder mask and silkscreen are not included on the blank board and require additional process steps if needed; we stock [the PCB Fabrication Kit](https://core-electronics.com.au/makera-cnc-pcb-fabrication-pack.html) for just that!
- **And other fabrication methods:** chemical etching, a fibre laser, or other methods to create the conductive islands required to make a functioning PCB

### Specifications

- 1.5mm thick
- 150mm x 200mm
- Single-Sided Copper (Bare FR-4 on the other side)
- FR-4 Fiberglass substrate

*Using a CNC, we have had success with a minimum track width of around 0.25 mm and a track clearance of 0.2mm (depending on the milling bit used).*
