## How to buy

- **Build a cart:** compose `https://core-electronics.com.au/cart/link?items=SERVICE-LASER-420:1` (comma-separated SKU:qty pairs) and share the link. Opening it shows a confirmation page with live pricing and stock before anything is added to the cart.
- **Verify the cart first:** fetch `https://core-electronics.com.au/cart/link/SERVICE-LASER-420:1.md` for live line prices (inc & exc GST, quantity discounts applied), stock and dispatch estimates, and totals. Append `/to/{AU-postcode}` (or `/to/{country-code}:{postcode}`) before `.md` for delivery options and prices to that destination. Unknown, retired, or out-of-stock SKUs are flagged. (Query form `cart/link.md?items=...` also works but some robots parsers refuse query strings here.)
- **Checkout** is completed on-site and includes a captcha at the payment step. Share the cart link; checkout takes it from there.
- **Search the catalogue:** `https://core-electronics.com.au/search/{query}.md` (URL-encode the query; pages 2-3 at `search/{query}/{page}.md`; `search.md?q=` also works)

## Description

We've got one of the best laser cutters available, right here in our Makerspace. While we can cut so many types of materials, this service is limited to 3mm Clear Acrylic as we always have plenty of it.

Here are the requirements for this service:

- Files must be supplied as SVG and PDF format (vector image). We request two file types to help identify misconfigured SVG files prepared in Inkscape / other third-party software.
- 3mm Clear Acrylic Only.
- Image format must be sRGB (not CMYK)
- Cut lines must be 0.01mm line stroke, red (#FF0000)
- Engrave areas must be black (#000000)
- The design must be less than 420x300mm.
- We only accept fonts that are standard on a Windows 10 machine
- All designs will be cut and etched as-is, we will not invert or change your design.
- This service is non-refundable. If your design contains errors or omissions then they will be committed to fabrication and are subject to the constraints of laser cutting.

How does this service work?

1. Add this service by clicking the "Add to cart" button above, continue through to checkout for payment.
2. Once your order is placed, we will send you an email requesting the SVG file.
3. Please include the dimensions of your piece in the email when you send your file
4. We typically fabricate in 2-4 business days (we aim for one business day, though priority/escalated services are not available)
5. Your order is shipped to you or made available for pickup (whichever you chose during checkout)

Tips:

- Ensure you have changed your colour profile to sRGB.
- Cut lines = 0.01mm line width (stroke) and are red (#FF0000)
- Etched areas = black (#000000)
- Untouched areas are left white (no change / #FFFFFF)
- We use **Adobe Illustrator** to preview and prepare jobs. We'll do our best to proactively find issues with scaling and artwork from third-party software (by requesting and inspecting both SVG and PDF files). However, your errors and omissions might be missed and could be included in the manufactured product.
