## Description

The Seeed Studio XIAO Series is a family of compact development boards with a similar hardware structure that fits right in the palm of your hand. The XIAO code name represents its "Tiny" and "Puissant" features, making it a powerful yet small development board.

The XIAO SAMD21 is the pioneer product of the XIAO series, powered by a SAMD21G18 chip. Despite its size, it boasts high-performance capabilities, making it an excellent choice for electronics enthusiasts. It supports Arduino/Micropython/CircuitPython development, making it an ideal microcontroller to begin with.

The XIAO SAMD21 carries a powerful ARM® Cortex®-M0+ (SAMD21G18) CPU that runs at up to 48Hz. It also has 256KB Flash and 32KB SRAM on board and supports the USB Type-C interface that allows for code downloading and power supply.

**Note**: All the I/O pins are 3.3V, please do not input more than 3.3V, otherwise, the CPU may be damaged.

The XIAO SAMD21 features 14 GPIO pins, which offer a variety of functions. These include 11 analog pins, 11 digital pins, 1 I2C interface, 1 UART interface, and 1 SPI interface. Some of these pins also have multiple functions, such as A1/D1 to A10/D10 pins that have PWM functions, and Pin A0/D0, which can function as a DAC. This enables the XIAO SAMD21 to provide true analog signals instead of PWM signals when defined as an analog pin, allowing for more I/O pins and interfaces.

To improve the coding experience, a user LED has been added onboard, in addition to the power LED. Unlike other development boards of similar size, the XIAO SAMD21 features an extra 32.768KHz crystal oscillator for time fixing, which ensures a more accurate and stable clock.

The XIAO SAMD21 is highly compatible with various software platforms, making it easy for users to code with Arduino, Micropython, and CircuitPython. Its flexible I/O capabilities allow it to communicate with almost any external device, making it an ideal choice for diverse applications.
