The thickness of the central part of the hub that holds the adapter is approximately 40 mm, and Pololu recommend M3 screws that are at least 35 mm long. The fit between the adapters and this wheel can be tight, so you might need to use the screws to help seat the adapter pieces into the hub as described on the adapter product pages.
