The RPLIDAR A3 is a 360-degree omnidirectional laser range scanner for indoor and outdoor Application. This LIDAR module has a massive 25m range with 16000 samples per second and is perfect for all your autonomous mapping and obstacle avoidance projects.

## Description

Want to build a robot that knows what is around it and can navigate based on that information?

To do this well you need to be able to map what is happening in the room and create a map of all the obstacles. The RPLIDAR constantly spins and uses **LIDAR** to detect every object in the room allowing it to create a very detailed map that it can then use **SLAM** (Simultaneous Localisation and Mapping) to navigate obstacles.
