Each end is pre-crimped with a male or female crimp pin, and they can be combined with Pololu's [crimp connector housings](https://core-electronics.com.au/connectors-sockets/crimp-connector-housings.html) to create custom cables with 0.1" (2.54 mm) connectors. Just pick colors and genders for your wires and snap them into the housings of your choice (note: getting the wires out is possible but not as easy). No soldering is required! These cables give you the flexibility to make harnesses or assemblies that branch from one connector on one side to multiple connectors on the other (the left picture below shows an example of this).
