This battery pack comes with 4" leads terminated by a 3-pin [JR-style female connector](https://core-electronics.com.au/jr-connector-pack-female.html) (only two of the pins are used). The connector is the same as what is found on the most [servos](https://core-electronics.com.au/#) and has a 0.1" spacing, so it fits nicely with [0.1" male headers](https://core-electronics.com.au/0-100-2-54-mm-breakaway-male-header-1x40-pin-straight.html) and can plug directly into most RC receivers, [servo extension cables](https://core-electronics.com.au/twisted-servo-extension-cable-12-male-female.html), and [servo switch harnesses](https://core-electronics.com.au/servo-switch-harness-18.html), and custom cables made with [JR male connectors](https://core-electronics.com.au/jr-connector-pack-male.html) or [Futaba J male connectors](https://core-electronics.com.au/futaba-j-connector-pack-male.html). Note, however, that this style of connector is often referred to as “male” in the RC hobby industry, so please use the picture on the right to clear up any potential confusion.

## Capacity Options

Pololu's rechargeable NiMH battery packs give you variety of options for powering your robot or electronics project. The battery packs use 1.2 V cells and are available in several capacities:

 | Cell Type | Capacity (mAh) |
|---|---|
| AA | 2200 |
| AAA | 900 |
| 2/3 AAA | 350 |
| 1/3 AAA | 200 |

The picture to the right shows the relative sizes of Pololu's NiMH battery packs. These packs are well-suited for powering small robots, and the smaller (1/3- or 2/3-AAA) battery packs make great power sources for miniature robots, such as those that might be based on Pololu's [Baby Orangutan robot controller](https://core-electronics.com.au/baby-orangutan-b-328-robot-controller.html).

Battery pack color may differ from what is shown in the main product picture.

**Note:** The battery voltages listed in the product descriptions are based on the 1.2 V nominal voltage of the NiMH cells from which the packs are made. The actual voltage will depend on how charged the batteries are. A fully charged NiMH cell will deliver almost 1.5 V, so, for example, a “6V”, 5-cell pack can measure over 7 volts after being charged, and it can fall well below 5 volts when the pack is drained. You will need to charge these battery packs before you first use them. The [iMAX-B6AC battery charger](https://core-electronics.com.au/imax-b6ac-balance-charger-and-discharger.html) works well with these battery packs.
