# Raspberry Pi DAC+

**Type:** Product page · **SKU:** CE07561 · **Brand:** [Raspberry Pi](https://core-electronics.com.au/brands/raspberry-pi-australia)
**Page:** https://core-electronics.com.au/raspberry-pi-dac.html ([markdown](https://core-electronics.com.au/raspberry-pi-dac.html.md))

The Raspberry Pi DAC+ is an audio output HAT for all generations of Raspberry Pi from Raspberry Pi 1 Model B+ onwards, and supports 24‑bit 192kHz high-resolution digital audio. It uses the Texas Instruments PCM5122 DAC to deliver stereo analogue audio to a pair of phono connectors, and also supports a dedicated headphone amplifier.

## Pricing

- **Price:** $31.40 (inc GST) — $28.55 AUD, exc GST

## Availability & dispatch

- In stock, ships same business day if ordered before 2PM (Australia/Sydney).
- We can dispatch 151 today; more stock is typically available with a 5–11 day lead time.

## How to buy

- **Build a cart:** compose `https://core-electronics.com.au/cart/link?items=CE07561:1` (comma-separated SKU:qty pairs) and share the link. Opening it shows a confirmation page with live pricing and stock before anything is added to the cart.
- **Verify the cart first:** fetch `https://core-electronics.com.au/cart/link/CE07561:1.md` for live line prices (inc & exc GST, quantity discounts applied), stock and dispatch estimates, and totals. Append `/to/{AU-postcode}` (or `/to/{country-code}:{postcode}`) before `.md` for delivery options and prices to that destination. Unknown, retired, or out-of-stock SKUs are flagged. (Query form `cart/link.md?items=...` also works but some robots parsers refuse query strings here.)
- **Checkout** is completed on-site and includes a captcha at the payment step. Share the cart link; checkout takes it from there.
- **Search the catalogue:** `https://core-electronics.com.au/search/{query}.md` (URL-encode the query; pages 2-3 at `search/{query}/{page}.md`; `search.md?q=` also works)

## Description

The Pi is an ideal candidate for streaming high-definition audio straight to your HiFi system or headphones, with one critical flaw, the Pi doesn't have a proper DAC! This HAT well and truly fixes that, with a low-noise DAC IC from TI, and the outputs you need to connect to your analog system.

This is Raspberry Pi's mid-range DAC board, boasting solid components, outputs, and layout, sitting below their top-tier [DAC Pro HAT](https://core-electronics.com.au/raspberry-pi-dac-pro.html)

If you're looking to wrap all this up in a snazzy case, the [HighPi Pro](https://core-electronics.com.au/highpi-pro-case-for-iqaudio-dac-and-raspberry-pi-4.html) case fits around a Pi and this HAT like a glove (other cases have trouble with this HAT)

**Features**

- Utilises the Texas Instruments PCM5122 DAC to deliver great low-noise stereo audio through two possible outputs:
    - RCA Line-level outputs
    - Dedicated amplified 3.5mm headphone port
- Pre-programmed EEPROM for plug-and-play recognition by a Raspberry Pi
- Good software support with and [Volumio, ](https://volumio.com/en/)[Max2Play, ](https://www.max2play.com/en/)and [Roon](https://roonlabs.com/)
