## Description

There is a limit of one per household in place.

**DIY Starter Kit!** Purchase this product and at least three accessories >$10 each to build your own kit. Accessories must be listed within [this category](https://core-electronics.com.au/raspberry-pi.html) (eg: PSU, uSD, Case), excluding other RPi boards.

If this product is out of stock then check our range of [other boards and kits](https://core-electronics.com.au/raspberry-pi.html).

In case you are wondering why kits are available when some single boards are not: Regretfully, there is an undersupply of boards and an oversupply of accessories.

We use RPi boards to build kits and we have a significant investment tied up in accessories. This may lead to board-only stock becoming unavailable during times of extreme supply shortages. Unlike most other sellers; we offer flexible options (such as this listing for a DIY Kit) for popular boards instead of only unmodifiable kits. If the flexibility of a DIY Kit still isn't enough for you, then it might be best to wait until supply improves (click the sign-up links on board-only pages) or choose something else (such as a different board variant).

Friendly reminder, [other board](https://core-electronics.com.au/raspberry-pi.html#category_272) variants might be available (check those product pages as stock will be limited).

If you have a commercial product built using RPi and require bulk stock then there are instructions on the board-only product pages for how we can assist. The lead time will likely be 2-4 months (at least). Not that OEMs using this gear would be surprised given the events of the last year or so.

Another option that is worth a look at is the [Pi 400](https://core-electronics.com.au/raspberry-pi-400.html) which has 4GB of RAM and a faster CPU than the RPI 4 (1.8GHz vs 1.5GHz, which translates to about +18% performance based on benchmark tests).

Like you, we are all looking forward to life on the other side of the parts shortage. All the best with your projects in between and we hope this DIY Kit is both helpful and flexible for makers getting started with Raspberry Pi.
