**JST PH-style cable family overview**

Pololu's JST PH-style cables are available in a variety of pin counts and lengths. Double-sided versions are available with twisted wires and female JST PH connectors on both ends, and single-sided versions are available with a JST PH connector on one end and [female crimp pins for 0.1" housings](https://core-electronics.com.au/female-crimp-pins-for-0-1-housings-100-pack.html) on the other.

These crimp pins, which are the same as those on Pololu's [wires with pre-crimped terminals](https://core-electronics.com.au/wire/pre-crimped-terminals.html), are compatible with Pololu's assortment of [crimp connector housings](https://core-electronics.com.au/connectors-sockets/crimp-connector-housings.html) (see the pictures below for some examples) and work with standard [0.1" male headers](https://core-electronics.com.au/connectors-sockets/headers.html). The crimp pins can be cut off if they are not needed, and remember that the double-sided cables can also be cut in half to get single-sided cables that are 5 cm, 8 cm, and 20 cm long.

The JST PH-style connector has a 2 mm pitch, and the cables are made from 24 AWG wires that conform to UL 1007. They are rated for 2 A and 100 V. For all versions in the following table, the black wire connects to pin 1 and the red wire connects to pin 2. The [4-pin cables](https://core-electronics.com.au/category/359/4-pin-jst-ph-style-cables) are physically compatible with Adafruit’s STEMMA connectors, but note that **the wire colour order is different** (Adafruit’s cables have the black and red wires on pins 4 and 3, respectively).
