- If you intend to operate outside shared/licence‑exempt conditions (e.g. in other bands, at higher power, with high‑gain antennas, or extended duty cycles), you must have the appropriate authorisation.

**For use in other regions**

- Follow the spectrum rules for your country/region and select frequencies and settings accordingly.

A declaration of use will need to be submitted during checkout.

## Description

Wireless communication is pretty amazing! You can unlock some very cool capabilities like collecting data from some distant sensor, or remote-controlling hardware. The **PiicoDev Transceiver** allows you to send and receive messages to other transceivers up to 100m away. Simply connect to a PiicoDev-compatible development board and [follow the guide](https://core-electronics.com.au/guides/piicodev-transceiver-getting-started-guide/) to begin sending and receiving data.

Daisy chain the Transceiver with [other PiicoDev modules](https://core-electronics.com.au/piicodev.html) to create a more complex project. Use the provided Python / MicroPython library that simplifies setting up the transceiver and sending data. Transceivers will broadcast by default and can be configured with a *group* or *address* to allow for direct messaging to only intended recipients. That's especially useful for projects with multiple Transceivers where there may be a lot of messages going back and forth.

The PiicoDev Transceiver uses a HopeRF RFM69HCW radio operating at 915MHz to communicate. The on-board antenna is designed right into the PCB - for best performance, keep the antenna way from metal enclosures or other sources of interference.
