## Description

This is a 2 degrees of freedom (DOF) pan-tilt hat for use with the [Raspberry Pi ](https://core-electronics.com.au/raspberry-pi.html)40PIN GPIO. It can be directly controlled once plugged into the Pi board’s GPIO pins. This board comunicated through the I2C interface and allows your Pi to control the camera movement and light intensity detection only using 2 signal lines. The on-board PCA9685 chip can output 12-bit resolution PWM to control the rotation of the pan-tilt servos.

In addition, it comes with onboard TSL25911FN and built-in ADC that function as a light sensor, which is helpful for collecting relevant data to the lighting conditions. This is useful for camera setup and changes absed on enviromental factors. The on-board voltage level translators make it compatible with 3.3V and 5V operating levels.

There is a specific acrylic board for fixing the Raspberry Pi camera on this product.

Please Note: This product is compatible with [Raspberry Pi 3 Model B+](https://core-electronics.com.au/raspberry-pi-3-model-b-plus.html), [Raspberry Pi 4 Model B](https://core-electronics.com.au/raspberry-pi-3-model-b.html), and [Jetson Nano](https://core-electronics.com.au/nvidia-jetson-nano-developer-kit-v3.html).

Not compatible with Raspberry Pi 400, Raspberry Pi Pico and Raspberry Pi Compute Module 4.

Through actual tests, it is proven that this module is compatible with all series types of Raspberry Pi and works well with the [Jetson Nano board](https://www.dfrobot.com/product-2123.html). It can do the 2-DOF motion in the horizontal and vertical directions, which is suitable for image monitoring/recognition and tracking when installed a camera. In addition to this, when combining an IR sensor or Ultrasonic distance sensor, it can be turned into a detection device to make a robot sense and avoid the surrounding obstacles.

**Note:**

 **1.The Pan-Tilt HAT requires assembly.**

**2.Raspberry Pi board and Camera are not included.**
