## Description

The Arduino Nano I/O Sensor Shield acts as an expansion board for the Arduino Nano and DFRduino Nano microcontrollers. The form factor of the Nano I/O Shield board is the same as the [Arduino UNO](https://www.dfrobot.com/product-610.html)/[arduino Leonardo](https://www.dfrobot.com/product-698.html). In addition, the sensor shield adopts [Gravity ](https://www.dfrobot.com/gravity)interface that each pinout includes 5V and GND pins for easy connection to Gravity sensors or servos. To the best compatibility, the shield supports jumper wires for rapid prototyping.

This unit comes fully assembled. The board also has a space specifically for the DFRobot bluetooth module and ACP220. Several I2C pins are also expanded.

The Nano I/O Shield has several different options for power input. All pins marked 5V are connected to your Arduinos 5V regulator output. Closing a jumper allows you to connect the 5V rail to the pins marked VCC, or they can be powered by an external supply if the jumper is left open, which means you can run servos and sensors with operating voltages above 5V.

**If the power selection jumper is incorrectly set you can cause damage to your Arduino.**
