This connector, a smaller version of the male Tamiya plug, is commonly used with battery packs for RC applications. The connector is keyed so that power cannot be reversed, and a latch secures the connection so that it will not become disconnected. This male mini Tamiya connector has 10 cm 18-AWG leads with stripped and tinned terminations.

## Description

This connector with leads makes a great power cable. The connector is keyed so that power cannot be reversed, and a latch secures the connection so that it will not become disconnected.

This is the **male** version of the connector (we also offer a matching [female version](https://core-electronics.com.au/mini-tamiya-plug-with-10cm-leads-female.html)). Two 10 cm 18-AWG wires are crimped inside the connector housing. The leads have silicone insulation and stripped, tinned terminations. As an alternative, Pololu sell a [mini Tamiya connector pack](https://core-electronics.com.au/mini-tamiya-connector-pack-male.html) that includes housings and crimp pins you can use to attach these male connectors to your own wires.

**Note:** these connectors are sometimes referred to as “female” in the RC hobby industry, so please look at the connector picture below carefully to make sure it is what you want.
