This connector, a smaller version of the female Tamiya connector, is commonly used with battery packs for RC applications. The connector is keyed so that power cannot be reversed, and a latch secures the connection so that it will not become disconnected. You can use a crimping tool to attach these connectors to your own 16- to 20-AWG wires. This pack contains enough housings and crimp pins (including two spare pins) for 3 female connectors.

## Description

This connector is keyed so that power cannot be reversed, and a latch secures the connection so that it will not become disconnected. This pack contains enough housings and crimp pins (including two spare pins) for three **female** connectors (we also offer a pack for the [male version](https://core-electronics.com.au/catalog/product/view/sku/POLOLU-1937)). The crimp pins are designed for 16- to 20-AWG wires, and Pololu sell a [crimping tool](https://core-electronics.com.au/catalog/product/view/sku/POLOLU-1928) that works well with them. As an alternative, Pololu sell a [pre-crimped version](https://core-electronics.com.au/catalog/product/view/sku/POLOLU-2178) of this connector with 10 cm leads.

**Note:** these connectors are sometimes referred to as “male” in the RC hobby industry, so please look at the connector picture and diagram below carefully to make sure it is what you want.
