## Description

Unleash your inner [Mad Max](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9L67BiENzYs) and make your vehicle dreams a reality with the **Mini Robot Rover Kit.**

This kit gives you everything you need to build the shell of a 2-wheel-drive Robot Rover! You get the chassis, 4-6 VDC motors and wheels. You'll fill in the rest with power supply, microcontroller or microcomputer and a dual H-bridge motor controller.

Adafruit of course have suggestions to run the motors like Adafruit's [TB6612 breakout](https://core-electronics.com.au/adafruit-tb6612-1-2a-dc-stepper-motor-driver-breakout-board.html), [Motor FeatherWing](https://core-electronics.com.au/dc-motor-stepper-featherwing-add-on-for-all-feather-boards.html), [Motor Shield for Arduino](https://core-electronics.com.au/adafruit-motor-stepper-servo-shield-for-arduino-v2-kit-v2-0.html), or [Motor HAT for Raspberry Pi](https://core-electronics.com.au/adafruit-dc-stepper-motor-hat-for-raspberry-pi-mini-kit.html). Basically anything that can do two bi-directional brushed DC motors at ~5V and 1A. To steer the wheels, you'll need something to toggle the motor driver like Adafruit's [Feather 32u4 Bluefruit LE](https://core-electronics.com.au/adafruit-feather-32u4-bluefruit-le.html) that Adafruit used in Adafruit's demo, and to power the rover/microcontroller Adafruit used a [AA Battery Pack](https://core-electronics.com.au/4-x-aa-battery-holder-with-on-off-switch.html) and a [3.7v 350mAh LiPoly Battery](https://core-electronics.com.au/lithium-ion-polymer-battery-3-7v-350mah.html), but this is all up to you and your imagination!

**Note: [4xAA Battery pack](https://core-electronics.com.au/4-x-aa-battery-holder-with-on-off-switch.html), [LiPoly Battery](https://www.adafruit.com/categories/138), [Feather board](https://www.adafruit.com/categories/835), [FeatherWings](https://www.adafruit.com/categories/814), and [Feather accessories](https://www.adafruit.com/categories/836) are not included!** This is just the body of the robot rover.

**Kit includes:**

- 2x [Wheels](https://core-electronics.com.au/wheel-for-micro-continuous-rotation-fs90r-servo.html)
- 2x [DC Motors in MicroServo shape](https://core-electronics.com.au/dc-motor-in-micro-servo-body.html)
- 1x [Support Wheel](https://core-electronics.com.au/supporting-swivel-caster-wheel-1-3-diameter.html)
- 1x [Metal Chasis](https://core-electronics.com.au/anodized-aluminum-metal-chasis-for-a-mini-robot-rover.html)
- 1x [Top Metal Plate with mounting hardware](https://core-electronics.com.au/top-metal-plate-for-a-mini-robot-rover-chassis.html)

[Adafruit have a comprehensive tutorial on building a Feather Bluefruit LE version of the Robot Rover](https://learn.adafruit.com/bluefruit-feather-robot/overview). It's one of infinite possible designs, but gives you a sense of the possibilities for remote-control robotics.
