## Description

An ultrasonic distance[ sensor](https://www.dfrobot.com/category-36.html) determines the distance to a target by measuring time lapses between the sending and receiving of the ultrasonic pulse. This Waterproof Ultrasonic Sensor features a farther monitoring distance, wider detection range, and good penetration power(smog, dust).

The ultrasonic sensor adopts a closed probe consisting of a transmitter & receiver, waterproof and dustproof. All the signal processing units are integrated inside the [module](https://www.dfrobot.com/category-156.html), so users can directly obtain the distance value through a Serial Interface. With a 9600bit/s baud rate, the [sensor](https://www.dfrobot.com/category-36.html) can easily communicate with upper-host or other MCU, which greatly shortens the developing cycle for users.
