## Description

This **Makerverse™ Motor Driver** is capable of driving two DC motors bidirectionally, or one bipolar stepper motor at 1.6A continuous (2A max), and accepts motor-drive voltages from 3-16V at the VM pin. Either 3.3V or 5V logic can be used. Motor connections can be soldered directly, or you can use the included 5mm screw terminals for easy bare-wire connections. There are two drive modes. By default, the driver is set to Direction Mode - where one pin sets the direction of the motor, and the other accepts a PWM input to control torque/speed. Bridge a solder jumper on the back to use "IN1-IN2" mode, which provides the classic dual h-bridge experience.

**This new, upgraded version features a 5V step-down/buck regulator output, pre-populated current limit potentiometer, and now includes screw terminals and headers.**

The driver features protection for reverse-polarity and thermal over-current - though we don't recommend relying on thermal overloading to protect the driver. Use the on-board trimpot to set your desired current limit - it's set to maximum by default. Most users won't need this feature, but it's useful to protect motors under stall conditions or dialling in stepper motor current limits. Measure the set-current at the test point provided (1.1A / V).
