## Description

The **Makerverse™ Audio Kit** is the easiest way to build and code a musical project from scratch. Use alongside the [Makerverse Essentials Kit](https://core-electronics.com.au/makerverse-essentials-kit.html) to complete two exciting musical projects. Follow the [guide](https://core-electronics.com.au/guides/makerverse/makerverse-audio-kit-guide/) to start with an interactive musical keyboard and upgrade to playing audio files from a memory card. From here, the completed kit can be used as-is or remixed to truly make it your own. Use the Audio Kit as a jumping-off point for other audio-based projects - the included Makerverse drivers work with native MicroPython on a Raspberry Pi Pico making this project easy to modify.

**Follow the [Audio Kit Guide](https://core-electronics.com.au/guides/makerverse/makerverse-audio-kit-guide/) to:**

- Solder electronic connections
- Wire an audio amplifier to a speaker
- Program a Raspberry Pi Pico in MicroPython
- Generate tones, play music
- Use a Digital-to-Analogue Converter (DAC) to drive an amplifier
- Connect a memory card to a Raspberry Pi Pico and access files
- Remix example code to change how the kit functions

**Other Essentials required to get started**

This kit requires a few essential tools and electronics that many makers already have (eg. soldering iron, Raspberry Pi Pico, breadboard, jumper wire). If you don't have these already, take a look at the [Makerverse Essentials Kit](https://core-electronics.com.au/makerverse-essentials-kit.html) and the Makerverse Soldering Kit.

**Each Makerverse Audio Kit contains**

- 1x [High-quality enclosed speaker](https://core-electronics.com.au/makerverse-enclosed-speaker-8-ohm-5-watt.html)
- 1x [Mono audio amplifier](https://core-electronics.com.au/makerverse-pam8302-2-5w-mono-amplifier.html)
- 1x [Electronic Keyboard for Raspberry Pi Pico](https://core-electronics.com.au/makerverse-electronic-keyboard-for-raspberry-pi-pico.html)

**Makerverse Overview**

**Makerverse** hardware is designed for makers, by makers. We're making the tools and modules we think are the most useful to electronics enthusiasts and people that just want to get their projects done. As experienced makers ourselves, we're building in the features and design considerations that we find most valuable and have wished for in other modules.

All Makerverse devices are [![](https://core-electronics.com.au/media/wysiwyg/product_images/Core-Electronics-Original.png)](https://core-electronics.com.au/original) products designed by our team in Newcastle Australia. We manufacture the modules here as well.
