## Pricing

- **Price:** $27.92 (inc GST) — $25.38 AUD, exc GST

## Availability & dispatch

- In stock, ships same business day if ordered before 2PM (Australia/Sydney).
- We can dispatch 20 today; more stock is typically available with a 10–50 day lead time.

## How to buy

- **Build a cart:** compose `https://core-electronics.com.au/cart/link?items=CE10720:1` (comma-separated SKU:qty pairs) and share the link. Opening it shows a confirmation page with live pricing and stock before anything is added to the cart.
- **Verify the cart first:** fetch `https://core-electronics.com.au/cart/link/CE10720:1.md` for live line prices (inc & exc GST, quantity discounts applied), stock and dispatch estimates, and totals. Append `/to/{AU-postcode}` (or `/to/{country-code}:{postcode}`) before `.md` for delivery options and prices to that destination. Unknown, retired, or out-of-stock SKUs are flagged. (Query form `cart/link.md?items=...` also works but some robots parsers refuse query strings here.)
- **Checkout** is completed on-site and includes a captcha at the payment step. Share the cart link; checkout takes it from there.
- **Search the catalogue:** `https://core-electronics.com.au/search/{query}.md` (URL-encode the query; pages 2-3 at `search/{query}/{page}.md`; `search.md?q=` also works)

## Description

Punch clean 2.5 mm holes in PCB, aluminium and hardwood - on the same machine, in the same setup, straight after the milling pass.

Hand-drilling a milled part throws away the accuracy you just paid for: a hand-held drill wanders off the mark, and re-clamping loses your datum. Running the holes as a drilling operation keeps every via, pilot and mounting hole exactly where the CAD put it.

The flutes are solid carbide rather than HSS, so they stay rigid at 10,000 rpm instead of flexing off-centre, and the titanium-nitride coating adds a harder, lower-friction surface - worth having if you want you bits to last, or use abrasive FR-4 PCB material, and against aluminium welding itself to the cutting edge.

The 3.175 mm (1/8″) shank is the same size used across the rest of the Makera bit range, so it drops into the Carvera, Carvera Air and any other desktop CNC or router with a 1/8″ collet. If you are using the Carvera's automatic tool changer, fit a bit collar at the correct height first.

### Features

- More holes per bit in abrasive FR-4, and less aluminium building up on the cutting edge, thanks to the titanium-nitride coating.
- Holds a straight, concentric hole at 10,000 rpm - solid carbide resists the flex that makes HSS drills wander at small diameters.
- Drills to 12 mm depth, covering PCB panels, 10 mm plate and most desktop CNC stock.
- Ten bits per pack, so a snapped drill mid-job costs you a tool change rather than a wait on new bits.
- Fits a 1/8″ collet directly - no adapter, and the same collet as the rest of the Makera bit range.
- Makera publishes a feed, speed and peck recipe for this exact size across eight materials, so the first hole is not a guess.
- An OEM Makera consumable rather than a generic substitute — the shank is the size Makera's own collets and collars are built around.
