## Pricing

- **Price:** $30.77 (inc GST) — $27.97 AUD, exc GST

## Availability & dispatch

- In stock, ships same business day if ordered before 2PM (Australia/Sydney).
- We can dispatch 10 today; more stock is typically available with a 10–50 day lead time.

## How to buy

- **Build a cart:** compose `https://core-electronics.com.au/cart/link?items=CE10723:1` (comma-separated SKU:qty pairs) and share the link. Opening it shows a confirmation page with live pricing and stock before anything is added to the cart.
- **Verify the cart first:** fetch `https://core-electronics.com.au/cart/link/CE10723:1.md` for live line prices (inc & exc GST, quantity discounts applied), stock and dispatch estimates, and totals. Append `/to/{AU-postcode}` (or `/to/{country-code}:{postcode}`) before `.md` for delivery options and prices to that destination. Unknown, retired, or out-of-stock SKUs are flagged. (Query form `cart/link.md?items=...` also works but some robots parsers refuse query strings here.)
- **Checkout** is completed on-site and includes a captcha at the payment step. Share the cart link; checkout takes it from there.
- **Search the catalogue:** `https://core-electronics.com.au/search/{query}.md` (URL-encode the query; pages 2-3 at `search/{query}/{page}.md`; `search.md?q=` also works)

## Description

Cut clean, narrow profiles through PCB, fibreglass and carbon fibre with a 1 mm solid-carbide router built for abrasive composites.

Glass- and carbon-fibre laminates are hard on ordinary end mills: the fibres dull a sharp edge quickly, and stringy chips pack into the flute and fray the cut. A corn bit swaps the smooth helical flute for rows of small cutting teeth, named for their resemblance to a corn cob, that break the material into fine chips and clear them efficiently. The result is a cleaner edge on board outlines, slots and cut-outs.

The 1 mm diameter fits between closely packed components when routing a board free, and leaves internal corners with just a 0.5 mm radius. The 7 mm cutting length covers standard PCB stock with depth to spare for thicker composite sheet.

The 3.175 mm (1/8″) shank matches the rest of the Makera bit range, so it drops straight into the Carvera, the Carvera Air, or any desktop CNC or router with a 1/8″ collet. If you are using the Carvera's automatic tool changer, fit a bit collar at the correct height first.

### Features

- Cleaner edges in FR-4, fibreglass and carbon fibre, because the corn-cob tooth pattern breaks fibres into fine chips instead of tearing them.
- Tight 0.5 mm internal corners and narrow slots from the 1 mm cutting diameter, ideal for PCB outlines and small composite parts.
- Longer edge life in abrasive composites, thanks to titanium-nitride-coated solid carbide that stays hard and slick where uncoated tools wear quickly.
- Ten bits per pack, so a worn or snapped bit mid-project is a quick swap rather than a wait for stock.
- Makera publishes a starting feed and speed recipe for this exact bit in PCB and carbon fibre, so your first cut isn't a guess.
- A genuine Makera consumable, sized for Makera's own collets and bit collars, rather than a generic substitute.
