## Description

Step up to 6.35mm (1/4in) shank cutters on your Carvera or Carvera Air. Both machines ship with a 1/8in (3.175mm) collet, which suits most desktop jobs. When you want heavier roughing in wood, foam or epoxy, or you already own a drawer of 1/4in router bits, this collet opens up that tooling.

This is a genuine Makera high-precision collet made for the Carvera spindle. It keeps runout low and works with the auto tool changer, so moving to larger cutters doesn't mean giving up the machine's automated workflow.

Changing collets takes a few minutes with the tools that came with your machine:

- Drop the current tool (control software on Carvera, handle on Carvera Air)
- Insert the spindle collet installer and turn it anticlockwise to remove the fitted collet
- Fit this collet the same way, without overtightening
- Fit a 6.35mm probe tail shaft to your wireless (Carvera) or wired (Carvera Air) probe
- Fit 6.35mm bit collars to your 1/4in tools with the bit collar installer
