## Description

This 24 x 24mm, 7.3g ESP32 development board has a 5x5 RGB LED matrix on its face. Once programmed, that one small block can be the display, the input and the controller for your project.

Version 1.1 replaces the original ATOM Matrix's MPU6886 with a BMI270 six-axis IMU. This improves the accuracy and response speed of attitude detection, which matters most in motion capture and attitude control. If your project relies on precise orientation data, v1.1 is the version to choose. M5Stack lists the IMU as the only hardware change.

Example projects include a motion-sensing remote controller, a motion-capture or attitude-analysis node, and a compact central control node for a smart home.

### Features

- **Build tilt and gesture controls** by reading the board's orientation and movement directly in your code.
- **Show icons, status and animations at a glance** on 25 WS2812C-2020 RGB LEDs behind an acrylic screen. Keep brightness moderate; very high values can damage the LEDs and acrylic screen.
- **Turn a button press into a remote-control command**: the programmable button under the matrix can trigger the built-in infrared transmitter, using logic you write.
- **Connect your project to your network** over 2.4GHz Wi-Fi with an onboard 3D antenna.
- **Add sensors and mount it without soldering**, using the Grove port (I2C + I/O + UART), the 2.54mm pin sockets on both sides and the M2 screw hole on the back.
- **Program it in the environment you prefer**: UiFlow1, UiFlow2, Arduino IDE, ESP-IDF and PlatformIO are all supported.
