## Description

With this tool head, you'll be able to print layers as small as 0.05mm (50 microns) on a LulzBot 3D Printer. In the past with FDM Printing, getting to layer heights of less 0.10 and beyond was tricky, and only successful some of the time. Those times are gone, we've found this tool head is as reliable as ever but gives us the ability to print tiny parts with ease. If you're a jewellery maker, table-top gamer or engineer, this tool head is going to give you the quality you need!

- **0.25mm E3D Titan Aero Extruder and Hot-End** - Teaming up with the industry leaders for extruder design, E3D, this tool head will bring makers a reliable option for small features in their 3D Prints. We're talking printable features as small as 0.5mm! That's tiny!
- **0.05mm Layer Heights** - With the smaller nozzle you're able to print thinner layers. This means you'll have finer looking prints!
- **2.85 (3mm) Filament** - The Micro Tool Head uses the same principles as all of the LulzBot tool heads, that means it's compatible with the 2.85mm filaments options.
- **Material compatibility** - All of the easy-to-use favourites are well supported, including Poly-Lite PLA, nGen and others (including flexible options). As the nozzle opening is so small, it's recommended that you don't use filaments with fill materials in them (like WoodFill, CopperFill, etc) to avoid any potential blockages.
- **360 degree part cooling** - Leveraging the Aero design of similarly named tool heads, this one comes with the centrifugal fan for complete part cooling.
- **Compatible with LulzBot 3D Printers** - This tool head is specifically an upgrade for Mini 2 3D Printers from LulzBot, however, there are adapter plates available that allow you to use it with the Taz 5, Taz 6 and others.
 
### Installing and using the Micro Aero Toolhead

The first thing you'll need to do when you get your new tool head removes your stock tool head off your 3D printer (or whichever you're using). There are a few bolts that come off quickly using the tool-kit provided with your printer and then you'll need to disconnect the wiring harness. Now install your Micro Aero in the reverse order of disassembly! That's all for the hardware.

Now you'll need to plug it into to a computer running a newer version of Cura LulzBot Edition and flash the firmware of your printer so that it recognises the new tool-head. Finally, you'll need to dial in the Z-offset of your printer by using the front-panel controls. Once that's all taken care of you can dive in and print your first Micro Model!
