## Description

The LulzBot Mini 2 3D Printer is a small form factor 3D Printer, built upon the glorious success of Aleph Objects original print of the same size, the LulzBot Mini. The small 3D printer has the exact same foot print as the Mini 1, however, the team over at Aleph Objects have managed to squeeze an additional 20% printable volume in! Amazing!

This 3D Printer is built inside of a folded aluminium chassis, with rugged 12mm Smooth Rods guiding each of the 3 belt-driven axes. This makes the printer incredibly reliable and portable. The Mini 2 also boasts an upgraded RAMBo board, using the Einsy RAMBo board from Ultimachine (with trinamic stepper motor drivers). The trinamic drivers are a huge step up for the LulzBot 3D printers for a number of reasons, notably noise reduction and stall detection. We've used the Mini 2 and can confirm that the printer is whisper quiet (if that!).

The Mini 2 also comes fitted out with all of the upgrades that were previously offered for the LulzBot Mini:

1. [The Aerostruder](https://core-electronics.com.au/lulzbot-mini-aerostruder-tool-head.html) - Amazing quality, reliable prints and handles both flexible and rigid filaments.
2. [The Modular Print Bed System](https://core-electronics.com.au/lulzbot-mini-modular-print-bed-heater.html) - The metal heating plate, seperate from the Glass/PEI surface enables you to easily swap in print beds and utilise the bare glass side of your print surface with ease.
3. [The Graphical LCD Screen w/ Rotary Encoder](https://core-electronics.com.au/lulzbot-mini-graphical-lcd-controller.html) - This LCD screen gives you access to all the features you'd expect (SD card printing, Printer control, etc).

The printer comes fully assembled with a total setup time of around 15-20 minutes, including the unboxing! That's fast.

For slicing and printer control, LulzBot have their own flavour of the popular Cura slicer software, that's tailored for their printers. That means that you get all the benefits of an open-source community, plus the reliability of one of the largest consumer 3D Printer brands in the world.
