This female JST RCY plug, also called a BEC connector, has 10 cm 20-AWG leads with stripped and tinned terminations. The connector is keyed so that power cannot be reversed.

## Description

This JST RCY plug is also referred to as a BEC (battery eliminator circuit) connector and is commonly used with battery packs for RC applications. The connector is keyed so that power cannot be reversed.

This is the **female** version of the connector (we also offer a matching [male version](https://core-electronics.com.au/jst-rcy-plug-with-10cm-leads-male.html)). Two 10 cm 20-AWG wires are crimped inside the connector housing. The leads have silicone insulation and stripped, tinned terminations. As an alternative, Pololu sell a [JST connector pack](https://core-electronics.com.au/jst-rcy-connector-pack-female.html) that includes housings and crimp pins you can use to attach these connectors to your own wires.

**Note:** these connectors are sometimes referred to as “male” in the RC hobby industry, so please look at the product picture carefully to make sure it is what you want.
