This JST RCY plug is also referred to as a BEC (battery eliminator circuit) connector and is commonly used with battery packs for RC applications. The connector is keyed so that power cannot be reversed. You can use a crimping tool to attach these connectors to your own 22- to 28-AWG wires. This pack contains enough housings and crimp pins (including two spare pins) for 3 male connectors.

## Description

This JST RCY plug is also referred to as a BEC (battery eliminator circuit) connector and is commonly used with battery packs for RC applications. The connector is keyed so that power cannot be reversed.

This pack contains enough housings and crimp pins (including two spare pins) for three **male** connectors (we also offer a pack for the [female version](https://core-electronics.com.au/jst-rcy-connector-pack-female.html)). The crimp pins are designed for 22- to 28-AWG wires, and Pololu sell a [crimping tool](https://core-electronics.com.au/crimping-tool-0-08-0-5-mm-capacity-20-28-awg.html) that works well with them. As an alternative, Pololu sell a [pre-crimped version](https://core-electronics.com.au/jst-rcy-plug-with-10cm-leads-male.html) of this connector with 10 cm leads.

**Note:** these connectors are sometimes referred to as “female” in the RC hobby industry, so please look at the product picture carefully to make sure it is what you want.
