## Pricing

- **Price:** $214.95 (inc GST) — $195.41 AUD, exc GST
- **Quantity discounts:** 5+ $189.55 (exc GST) · 10+ $185.64 (exc GST)

## Availability & dispatch

- In stock, ships same business day if ordered before 2PM (Australia/Sydney).
- We can dispatch 1 today; more stock is typically available with a 14–35 day lead time.

## How to buy

- **Build a cart:** compose `https://core-electronics.com.au/cart/link?items=CE08660:1` (comma-separated SKU:qty pairs) and share the link. Opening it shows a confirmation page with live pricing and stock before anything is added to the cart.
- **Verify the cart first:** fetch `https://core-electronics.com.au/cart/link/CE08660:1.md` for live line prices (inc & exc GST, quantity discounts applied), stock and dispatch estimates, and totals. Append `/to/{AU-postcode}` (or `/to/{country-code}:{postcode}`) before `.md` for delivery options and prices to that destination. Unknown, retired, or out-of-stock SKUs are flagged. (Query form `cart/link.md?items=...` also works but some robots parsers refuse query strings here.)
- **Checkout** is completed on-site and includes a captcha at the payment step. Share the cart link; checkout takes it from there.
- **Search the catalogue:** `https://core-electronics.com.au/search/{query}.md` (URL-encode the query; pages 2-3 at `search/{query}/{page}.md`; `search.md?q=` also works)

## Description

The HiFiBerry DAC2 HD is a high-end digital-to-analog converter for the Raspberry Pi (newer models with 40 pin GPIO connector).

Compatable with: Raspberry Pi A+/B+/2B/3B/3B+/4B/Zero

**Features**

- Stereo output
- Dedicated 192kHz/24bit high-quality Burr-Brown DAC
- Custom current-to-voltage output stage with high-end filtering
- Four ultra-low-noise linear voltage regulators for optimal audio performance
- Low-jitter clock for optimised clock performance (independent from Raspberry Pi clock sources)
- Hardware volume control for DAC. You can control the output volume using “alsamixer” or any application that supports ALSA mixer controls.
- Supports HiFiBerry DSP add-on module
- Connects directly to the Raspberry Pi, no additional cables needed
- No soldering, comes as a pre-fabricated kit. You just plug it onto the Raspberry Pi, it is conform to the Raspberry Pi hardware-attached-on-top (HAT) specification.
- Compatible with all Raspberry Pi models with a 40-pin GPIO connector
- Directly powered from the Raspberry Pi, no additional power supply required
- HAT compliant, EEPROM for automatic configuration
- Gold plated RCA output connectors
- Comes with all components required to mount it. We include 4 M2.5x12mm spacers to fix the board onto the Raspberry Pi
- Requires at least Linux kernel 4.19.97

**CONFIGURATION**

To support the DAC+ HD, a Raspberry Pi Linux kernel of at least version 4.19.97 is required. Have a look at the [documentation how to update the Linux kernel](https://www.hifiberry.com/build/documentation/deploying-a-new-linux-kernel-onto-a-raspbian-based-system/) if you’re still using an older kernel version.
