## Pricing

- **Price:** $35.85 (inc GST) — $32.59 AUD, exc GST
- **Quantity discounts:** 6+ $30.96 (exc GST) · 12+ $29.65 (exc GST)

## Availability & dispatch

- In stock, ships same business day if ordered before 2PM (Australia/Sydney).
- We can dispatch 3 today, and up to 100 more in 8–12 days.

## How to buy

- **Build a cart:** compose `https://core-electronics.com.au/cart/link?items=SEN0290:1` (comma-separated SKU:qty pairs) and share the link. Opening it shows a confirmation page with live pricing and stock before anything is added to the cart.
- **Verify the cart first:** fetch `https://core-electronics.com.au/cart/link/SEN0290:1.md` for live line prices (inc & exc GST, quantity discounts applied), stock and dispatch estimates, and totals. Append `/to/{AU-postcode}` (or `/to/{country-code}:{postcode}`) before `.md` for delivery options and prices to that destination. Unknown, retired, or out-of-stock SKUs are flagged. (Query form `cart/link.md?items=...` also works but some robots parsers refuse query strings here.)
- **Checkout** is completed on-site and includes a captcha at the payment step. Share the cart link; checkout takes it from there.
- **Search the catalogue:** `https://core-electronics.com.au/search/{query}.md` (URL-encode the query; pages 2-3 at `search/{query}/{page}.md`; `search.md?q=` also works)

## Description

The Gravity Lightning Sensor employs AMS's AS3935 lightning sensor IC and a Coilcraft MA5532-AE dedicated antenna to detect lightning distance, intensity, and frequency within a radius of 40km both indoors or outdoors. The embedded interference rejection algorithm can effectively suppress the interference generated by household appliances. In addition to allowing weather enthusiasts to measure local thunderstorm data simply and efficiently, thanks to its compact size and wide detection range, it can also be embedded in various smart wearable devices, like for an outdoor climber or people who work at heights. The sensor can also be embedded in the indoor protection device inside lightning-sensitive equipment, automatically switching these devices to backup power. When lightning is detected the interrupt pin IRQ generates a pulse. This can be used to trigger a cameras shutter to open, helping photographers to accurately capture images of lightning.
