The Overlander-4 is a rugged, R/C-operated, outdoor-ready **mobile robotics platform** that's ready to assemble **right out of the box**. Whether you have a project or two under your belt, or you're just starting out as a builder, the Overlander-4 has what you need to **bring your ideas into the outdoors** in a big way!

### Built for the Outdoors

What’s more outdoors than outer space? While the Overlander-4 is designed to conquer the variety of Earthly environs, its **futuristic “tweels”** share their **airless**, **flat-free**, and **ruggedly treaded** qualities with interplanetary robot wheels that have rolled on the Moon and Mars! The Overlander-4's [Wasteland Wheels](https://core-electronics.com.au/wasteland-wheel-144mm-diameter-52mm-width.html) provide excellent shock absorption and amazing **all-terrain traction** via grippy rubber conformation around irregular surfaces.

The **minimalist design** of the Overlander-4’s exterior leaves little room for anything to go wrong when traversing terrain. The flat underbelly is tucked-up tight to **maximize ground clearance**, and the flat surface can function as a skid plate when duty calls. **Positive-drive steel axles** make sure that the drive torque transfers to the ground—there’s zero chance of drivetrain slip!

### Crafted for Creativity

The Overlander-4’s interior is **clean and tidy**, providing a neat home to its wires and electronics while leaving ample room for the bevy of your own big ideas. There’s an insistent invitation for you to **bolt something onto the top** and utilize the Overlander’s hefty 25 lbs payload—the essential goBILDA® pattern can be found on all corners of the bot! **Included debris shields** for any unused holes help to keep the terrain out of the Overlander-4’s internals.

**The Overlander-4 comes with a**[20V, 6Ah Li-ion Battery](https://core-electronics.com.au/20v-6ah-li-ion-battery-with-led-capacity-meter/). It is also compatible with the following batteries (via its [goBILDA® Smart Dock](https://core-electronics.com.au/gobilda-smart-dock-for-20v-battery-dewalt-20v-max-compatible.html), and accounting for the dimensions of the Overlander-4’s internals):

- DEWALT® 20V MAX batteries.
- DEWALT® 18V XR Batteries\*. This branding is used outside of the USA for many DEWALT® slide-in style flat-top batteries. 18V XR batteries are slide-in style, unlike the bottom-insert style of DEWALT® NiMH batteries, which are branded as 18V in the US and are NOT compatible.
