## How to buy

- **Build a cart:** compose `https://core-electronics.com.au/cart/link?items=GB-3105-0101-1030:1` (comma-separated SKU:qty pairs) and share the link. Opening it shows a confirmation page with live pricing and stock before anything is added to the cart.
- **Verify the cart first:** fetch `https://core-electronics.com.au/cart/link/GB-3105-0101-1030:1.md` for live line prices (inc & exc GST, quantity discounts applied), stock and dispatch estimates, and totals. Append `/to/{AU-postcode}` (or `/to/{country-code}:{postcode}`) before `.md` for delivery options and prices to that destination. Unknown, retired, or out-of-stock SKUs are flagged. (Query form `cart/link.md?items=...` also works but some robots parsers refuse query strings here.)
- **Checkout** is completed on-site and includes a captcha at the payment step. Share the cart link; checkout takes it from there.
- **Search the catalogue:** `https://core-electronics.com.au/search/{query}.md` (URL-encode the query; pages 2-3 at `search/{query}/{page}.md`; `search.md?q=` also works)

## Description

Sometimes you just want to **dial in the speed!** The 1x30A Motor Commander takes complexity out of the equation, leaving you with a simple knob that controls the speed and direction of your brushed DC motor. **Precision dial control** is a huge benefit to all kinds of projects—whether you’re doing a timelapse with a pan or slider assembly, or you’re **welding or airbrushing** a cylindrical item that needs to be rotated at just the right speed.

**Bidirectional function** means that you can achieve motor rotation in either direction (clockwise or counterclockwise) by turning the dial left or right, with a proportional increase in speed depending on how far you turn the dial. One of the **three directional status LEDs** will always remain on during operations to tell you how your motor’s moving.

Motor control is facilitated safely thanks to temperature, current, and reverse-voltage protections. The aluminum heatsink can perform as a mounting base when you use the 32mm x 40mm pattern hex-counterbored thru-holes to easily fasten it to a surface using M4 hardware.

## In FTC?

While the Motor Commander will never control motors during an FTC competition, it’s perfect for **pre-code prototyping**. Its dead-simple, plug-and-play utility removes the need for a fully wired bot when you want to **test your mechanisms** during the exploratory phase!

## Output Enable Safety Feature

Safety-conscious engineering keeps things in control. If the dial is NOT at the center position when power is applied to the Motor Commander, the center LED will flash blue, and power will NOT be sent to the motor. To begin normal operations with the Motor Commander, move the dial to the center position. A tactilely satisfying detent makes it easy to find the center position. Once you hear the **triple-chirp tone** produced by your motor, you’re ready to put it into action!

## Power Input

Supply anywhere from 6-14V to the XT30 connector to power your motors. The supplied voltage will be the voltage that your motor will receive through the Motor Commander’s pair of 3.5mm connectors (labeled “A” and “B”).

## Output

The Motor Commander’s single channel can handle up to 30A of continuous current. You can use it to wire-up your motor or build a harness to supply power to multiple motors.

### Need bullet connectors?

If your motor is not already wired with [3.5mm bullet connectors](https://core-electronics.com.au/35mm-bullet-lead-fh-mc-300mm-length.html), you can pick up an adaptor or solder 3.5mm bullet leads to your motor to make it compatible with the Motor Commander.
