## Description

An inline USB-C meter that shows the voltage, current and power flowing between a charger and a device, along with the fast-charge protocol they've agreed on. It measures up to 50V and 240W, so it covers PD 3.1 EPR laptop chargers as well as phones and power banks.

When a laptop charges slowly or a phone won't fast charge, the cause could be the charger, the cable or the device. The tester can list the protocols a charger supports, read the E-Marker chip in a USB-C cable, and log the PD messages exchanged between charger and device, which is usually enough to find the culprit.

It has a USB-C plug on one end and a USB-C socket on the other, so it connects inline without adapter leads. Readings come from an external 20-bit ADC, and a separate PD controller chip handles protocol communication.

For longer tests, it records voltage and current curves for up to 9 hours and keeps 10 separate energy and capacity counters. That makes it useful for checking a power bank's real capacity or a charger's efficiency.

### Features

- 7-digit readings with ±0.2‰ voltage accuracy
- Detects and triggers PD, UFCS, QC2.0/3.0/4/5, Huawei FCP/SCP, OPPO VOOC/SVOOC and VIVO VFCP
- Reads cable E-Marker data (type, rated power, length, speed and version) from 3A, 5A, EPR and Thunderbolt 3/4 cables
- Simulates no-E-Marker (60W), 20V 5A and 50V 5A cables to show how a device responds to each
- Captures PD negotiation packets for tracking down compatibility problems
- Two capture modes: V/I/D+/D− plots at 2Sps–1kSps, and AC-coupled ripple at 20kSps–2MSps
- QC-to-PD conversion lets QC-only devices fast charge from PD chargers
- Measures current in either direction
- Curve logging interval adjustable from 1 to 120 seconds
- 1.54" colour screen that rotates to suit how the tester is oriented
- Firmware updates over USB with no drivers needed; Windows logging software available from FNIRSI
- Monitors its own temperature during high-power tests
