## Description

The FS5103B is a standard-size analog servo manufactured by FEETECH, designed for general-purpose use. Its output shaft is equipped with two ball bearings to reduce friction. The servo is compatible with standard RC servo pulses, delivering an operating angle of around 180° within a servo pulse range of 600 µs to 2400 µs. Additionally, it comes with a 12" (30 cm) cable that features a standard [JR-style connector](https://core-electronics.com.au/jr-connector-pack-female.html) that is Futaba-compatible. For more detailed information about the servo, please refer to its [datasheet](https://core-electronics.com.au/attachments/localcontent/FS5103B-specs_13293e22e07.pdf) (133k pdf).

If you're planning to use this servo in more advanced robotics applications, it's worth mentioning that Pololu offers a [modified version](https://core-electronics.com.au/feetech-standard-servo-fs5103b-fb-with-position-feedback.html) that includes a fourth (green) wire. This modification allows you to access the feedback potentiometer and monitor the servo's actual position from your controller, providing greater control and precision.

Note that, as with most hobby servos, stalling or back-driving this servo can damage it.

**Comparison to the Power HD 3001HB servo**

If you're looking for a budget-friendly option, the FS5103B servo is a great alternative to the Power HD [3001HB](https://core-electronics.com.au/power-hd-standard-servo-3001hb.html). With similar dimensions and performance, these two servos are generally interchangeable for most applications. To get a better idea of the similarities, check out the picture below, which shows the FS5103B and the 3001HB side by side:
