## Description

A warm, unique-patterned hardwood panel made for cutting and engraving on [laser machines](https://core-electronics.com.au/laser-cutters.html). At 3mm thick, this 600 x 300mm Eucalypt Laserply sheet is the one you pick when you want the timber to be visibly timber - earthy mid-brown with an interlocked, wavy figure that moves across the face.

Shape and form are the whole point with this ply. Where [basswood](https://core-electronics.com.au/basswood-laserply-600-x-300mm-3mm.html) gives you a blank canvas, eucalypt gives you a surface that already has something going on, which means a simple cut shape can carry a project on its own - no engraving required. Coasters, serving boards, wall pieces and box lids all benefit from that. Pressed at a Melbourne facility from selected eucalypt veneers, with A-grade front and B back, so both sides are presentable.

The trade-off is the flip side of the same property: engraved detail competes with the grain rather than sitting cleanly on top of it, so fine line work and photographic raster etches are better sent to a paler sheet.

The range is pressed in Melbourne using formaldehyde-free adhesives, removing one major source of fumes - which counts in classrooms, design studios and shared workshops. Timber is sourced from FSC-certified or sustainably managed forests.
