## Restrictions

**For use in Australia**

- Operate only in bands and with settings that are permitted for your location and application. Check this product’s supported frequencies in the description/specs.
- If you intend to operate outside shared/licence‑exempt conditions (e.g. in other bands, at higher power, with high‑gain antennas, or extended duty cycles), you must have the appropriate authorisation.

**For use in other regions**

- Follow the spectrum rules for your country/region and select frequencies and settings accordingly.

A declaration of use will need to be submitted during checkout.

## How to buy

- **Build a cart:** compose `https://core-electronics.com.au/cart/link?items=ADA4760:1` (comma-separated SKU:qty pairs) and share the link. Opening it shows a confirmation page with live pricing and stock before anything is added to the cart.
- **Verify the cart first:** fetch `https://core-electronics.com.au/cart/link/ADA4760:1.md` for live line prices (inc & exc GST, quantity discounts applied), stock and dispatch estimates, and totals. Append `/to/{AU-postcode}` (or `/to/{country-code}:{postcode}`) before `.md` for delivery options and prices to that destination. Unknown, retired, or out-of-stock SKUs are flagged. (Query form `cart/link.md?items=...` also works but some robots parsers refuse query strings here.)
- **Checkout** is completed on-site and includes a captcha at the payment step. Share the cart link; checkout takes it from there.
- **Search the catalogue:** `https://core-electronics.com.au/search/{query}.md` (URL-encode the query; pages 2-3 at `search/{query}/{page}.md`; `search.md?q=` also works)

## Description

The ESP8266 started a small revolution by bringing WiFi to a small and cheap package that also had enough processing power and enough pins to get small things done. Then the ESP32 came out with tons of pins, Bluetooth support, and dual 240 MHz cores. Now get ready to take your IoT designs to the next level with the **ESP-S2-WROVER-1 WiFi Module!**

The ESP32-S2 is a highly-integrated, low-power, 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi System-on-Chip (SoC) solution that now has **built-in native USB** as well as some other interesting new technologies like Time of Flight distance measurements. With its state-of-the-art power and RF performance, this SoC is an ideal choice for a wide variety of application scenarios relating to the [Internet of Things (IoT)](https://core-electronics.com.au/#), [wearable electronics](https://core-electronics.com.au/#), and smart homes.

**Please note** this is a single-core 240 MHz chip so it won't be as fast as ESP32's with dual-core. Also, there is no Bluetooth support. However, Adafruit are super excited about the ESP32-S2's native USB which unlocks a lot of capabilities for advanced interfacing! This WROVER module comes with 4 MB flash and 2 MB PSRAM. This version has a uFL connector [for adding an external antenna](https://core-electronics.com.au/2-4ghz-mini-flexible-wifi-antenna-with-ufl-connector-100mm.html), [We also have a version with built-in antenna](https://core-electronics.com.au/esp32-s2-wrover-module-4-mb-flash-and-2-mb-psram.html)

**For advanced users only! This product is just the module - which can be difficult to use.** You'll need to solder it onto a board with supporting circuitry. This module is for developers at this time.

**Please note** this product is for people who are comfortable compiling via the ESP IDF toolchain. There are the *beginnings* of an [Arduino IDE setup](https://github.com/espressif/arduino-esp32/tree/esp32s2) and [a CircuitPython port](https://github.com/adafruit/circuitpython/tree/main/ports/esp32s2). Adafruit are providing these for the community of advanced hackers, coders, and makers who are willing to help make demos, projects, and tutorials for the ESP32-S2!
