## How to buy

- **Build a cart:** compose `https://core-electronics.com.au/cart/link?items=ADA4308:1` (comma-separated SKU:qty pairs) and share the link. Opening it shows a confirmation page with live pricing and stock before anything is added to the cart.
- **Verify the cart first:** fetch `https://core-electronics.com.au/cart/link/ADA4308:1.md` for live line prices (inc & exc GST, quantity discounts applied), stock and dispatch estimates, and totals. Append `/to/{AU-postcode}` (or `/to/{country-code}:{postcode}`) before `.md` for delivery options and prices to that destination. Unknown, retired, or out-of-stock SKUs are flagged. (Query form `cart/link.md?items=...` also works but some robots parsers refuse query strings here.)
- **Checkout** is completed on-site and includes a captcha at the payment step. Share the cart link; checkout takes it from there.
- **Search the catalogue:** `https://core-electronics.com.au/search/{query}.md` (URL-encode the query; pages 2-3 at `search/{query}/{page}.md`; `search.md?q=` also works)

## Description

This is hot! Literally! Apply 5-12VDC and the stainless steel fibers in this heating fabric will warm up, creating a little heating pad. On one hand, it's just a gigantic resistor. On the other hand, it's flexible, light, and can be wrapped around a project. Originally designed for portable wearable heating pads, this fabric can be used for wearables, weather balloons, DIY-bio projects, thermal cycling for materials testing, etc.The temperature reached varies with voltage. Note that while the data/spec sheet says 15cm, its more like ~14cm long. Check the spec sheets in the Technical Details tab for a table of voltage/current/temperature outputs. [You could PWM it with a power N-channel transistor if you want finer temperature control.](https://core-electronics.com.au/n-channel-power-mosfet-30v-60a.html)

[We also have a smaller version of this heating pad](https://core-electronics.com.au/electric-heating-pad-10cm-x-5cm.html)

## Technical Details

- Wire length: 5cm / 2"
- Weight: 3.8g
- Insulation: Polyimide film ('Kapton')
- Fabric made of Polyester filament and micro stainless steel fiber
- Power requirements: 5V DC up to 1A
- **Note**: Datasheet for HF0515 reports length is 15cm but it is closer to 14cm.
