## Pricing

- **Price:** $7.80 (inc GST) — $7.09 AUD, exc GST
- **Quantity discounts:** 10+ $6.88 (exc GST) · 50+ $6.74 (exc GST)

## Availability & dispatch

- In stock, ships same business day if ordered before 2PM (Australia/Sydney).
- We can dispatch 1 today; more stock is typically available with a 8–12 day lead time.

## How to buy

- **Build a cart:** compose `https://core-electronics.com.au/cart/link?items=ADA2941:1` (comma-separated SKU:qty pairs) and share the link. Opening it shows a confirmation page with live pricing and stock before anything is added to the cart.
- **Verify the cart first:** fetch `https://core-electronics.com.au/cart/link/ADA2941:1.md` for live line prices (inc & exc GST, quantity discounts applied), stock and dispatch estimates, and totals. Append `/to/{AU-postcode}` (or `/to/{country-code}:{postcode}`) before `.md` for delivery options and prices to that destination. Unknown, retired, or out-of-stock SKUs are flagged. (Query form `cart/link.md?items=...` also works but some robots parsers refuse query strings here.)
- **Checkout** is completed on-site and includes a captcha at the payment step. Share the cart link; checkout takes it from there.
- **Search the catalogue:** `https://core-electronics.com.au/search/{query}.md` (URL-encode the query; pages 2-3 at `search/{query}/{page}.md`; `search.md?q=` also works)

## Description

This tiny **DC Motor in Micro Servo Body** is an interesting motor - it's the same size and shape as Adafruit's micro servo but it *isn't* a servo. It's more like a DC motor + plastic gear-train in a box. It's not a super powerful motor, it would do well as a little robot wheel. It's also a lot less expensive than a micro servo (continuous or non-continuous) because there is no control board inside. Controlling speed is done by PWM'ing the power leads, controlling direction is done by swapping the power polarity - just like any brushed DC motor.

Runs from 4-6VDC, Adafruit have powered it with a Lipoly and 3 alkaline, or 4 NiMH batteries with success. You cannot control this directly from a microcontroller pin! You must have a H-bridge such as a [L293D](https://core-electronics.com.au/dual-h-bridge-motor-driver-for-dc-or-steppers-600ma-l293d.html), [TB6612](https://core-electronics.com.au/adafruit-tb6612-1-2a-dc-stepper-motor-driver-breakout-board.html) or a [Motor shield](https://core-electronics.com.au/adafruit-motor-stepper-servo-shield-for-arduino-v2-kit-v2-0.html), [Motor HAT](https://core-electronics.com.au/adafruit-dc-stepper-motor-hat-for-raspberry-pi-mini-kit.html) or [DC Motor + Stepper FeatherWing](https://core-electronics.com.au/dc-motor-stepper-featherwing-add-on-for-all-feather-boards.html).

Motor comes with 2x screws and 2x nuts for mounting to a chassis. **No flanges or horns included** - [it's intended to mate with Adafruit's little wheels, there's a screw to attach once they're plugged together](https://core-electronics.com.au/wheel-for-micro-continuous-rotation-fs90r-servo.html). Build a robot vehicle of your own with these little motors driving it!
