## Description

The same warm hardwood face at 6mm thick, made for cutting and engraving on consumer [laser machines](https://core-electronics.com.au/laser-cutters.html). This 600 x 300mm Birch Laserply sheet is the point where laser-cut parts stop being decorative and start being structural.

At 6 mm, a panel edge becomes a joint. Finger joints and box combs have enough depth to hold square without glue, fasteners, or brackets - a project can take real weight instead breaking. It is the thickness for enclosures, workshop fixtures, jigs that get clamped, furniture prototypes and anything that needs to stay rigid on its own.

Know what you're taking on before you send the job. Six millimetres of hardwood needs more power than 3mm - expect slightly longer cut times, more passes on lower-powered machines, and darker char on cut edges that may want a sand or a wipe. Low-power diode lasers may have trouble getting through.

### Laser Cutting Plywood

Every sheet in this range is manufactured void-free, so the laser beam meets consistent material wherever it cuts: no bubbling, no blown-out patches, and laser setting profiles that hold from one sheet to the next. The range is pressed in Melbourne using formaldehyde-free adhesives, removing one major source of fumes - which counts in classrooms, design studios and shared workshops. Timber is sourced from FSC-certified or sustainably managed forests.
