## How to buy

- **Build a cart:** compose `https://core-electronics.com.au/cart/link?items=CE10665:1` (comma-separated SKU:qty pairs) and share the link. Opening it shows a confirmation page with live pricing and stock before anything is added to the cart.
- **Verify the cart first:** fetch `https://core-electronics.com.au/cart/link/CE10665:1.md` for live line prices (inc & exc GST, quantity discounts applied), stock and dispatch estimates, and totals. Append `/to/{AU-postcode}` (or `/to/{country-code}:{postcode}`) before `.md` for delivery options and prices to that destination. Unknown, retired, or out-of-stock SKUs are flagged. (Query form `cart/link.md?items=...` also works but some robots parsers refuse query strings here.)
- **Checkout** is completed on-site and includes a captcha at the payment step. Share the cart link; checkout takes it from there.
- **Search the catalogue:** `https://core-electronics.com.au/search/{query}.md` (URL-encode the query; pages 2-3 at `search/{query}/{page}.md`; `search.md?q=` also works)

## Description

A pale, fine-grained plywood panel made for clean cutting and engraving on consumer [laser machines](https://core-electronics.com.au/laser-cutters.html). At 3mm, this 600mm x 300mm Basswood Laserply sheet is the one to pick when the engraving is the end goal- a near-white, near-featureless face that lets burnt detail read as detail instead of competing with the grain.

Even density is what makes basswood a modelling staple. There are no hard grain lines for the beam to labour over, so a 1mm tab cuts as cleanly as a long straight edge and fine internal detail survives the pass intact - architectural models, RC airframes, layered topographic maps and filigree all lean on that consistency.

The A-grade face is clear of knots and patches, which is what lifts this above the everyday sheets: there is nothing on the surface to interrupt a design, and the creamy timber takes ink, paint and stain evenly. It gives real tonal range on raster work where a photograph needs to read as a photograph. The trade-off is softness - basswood marks under clamps and fingernails, so it suits display and decorative pieces rather than parts that carry a load.

### Laser Cutting Plywood

Every sheet in this range is manufactured void-free, so the laser beam meets consistent material wherever it cuts: no bubbling, no blown-out patches, and laser setting profiles that hold from one sheet to the next. The range is pressed in Melbourne using formaldehyde-free adhesives, removing one major source of fumes - which counts in classrooms, design studios and shared workshops. Timber is sourced from FSC-certified or sustainably managed forests.
